The President of the Republic took advantage of the 10th of June to say that “this is the exact moment for us to wake up”. It is necessary to take advantage of the pandemic as a “unique opportunity”, refusing in the future “yesterday’s solutions”.
Portugal cannot pretend that it did not exist and there is a pandemic, just as it cannot pretend that it did not exist and there is a brutal economic and financial crisis. ” Nor can you “expect yesterday’s solutions to be tomorrow’s solutions”.
Thus, “this 10th of June 2020 is the exact moment for us to wake up to this reality”: that this is a “unique opportunity” to “think differently”.
