The artist born in Lisbon, with roots in São Tomé and Príncipe and Angola, was chosen for a program of digital exhibitions at Galeria Goodman, which includes video and photography and will be available until June 18.
Entitled “Heroins, Birds and Monsters”, the exhibition includes the new series of photographs, in which the artist records the characters of the video trilogy “A world of illusions”, and the final part of the trilogy “Illusions. Vol. III, Antígona ”(2019), a video installation that is shown for the first time on the Internet.
According to the gallery, with spaces in South Africa and the United Kingdom, the exhibition “is a continuation of the artist’s urgent questioning of the power structures implicit in the writing of history”.
The exhibition is part of a new portal with original exhibitions every two weeks, organized with the digital experience in mind, including audio and video excerpts from artists and programmers.
