Spain thrashed Saudi Arabia 4-0 today, recovering from a sluggish start to their 2026 World Cup campaign—where they drew 0-0 against Cape Verde—and moving closer to securing a spot in the Round of 32.
A goal from Lamine Yamal just 10 minutes into the match broke the Saudi resistance and boosted the confidence of the Spanish side, who went into the halftime break with a comfortable 3-0 lead following a quickfire brace from Mikel Oyarzabal in the 21st and 24th minutes. Hassan Tambakti then scored an own goal in the 49th minute to wrap up the fourth for Spain.
