The Judicial Police (PJ) are carrying out searches this morning across multiple parishes in Lisbon, involving inspectors from the National Unit for Combating Corruption, a source from the police force told Lusa.
The source confirmed earlier reports by CNN Portugal that the PJ has “launched one of the largest anti-corruption operations of the year, deploying over 300 inspectors for an investigation centered on an alleged favoritism scheme tied to the PS (Socialist Party) local government power in Lisbon.”
