He insisted that the challenges currently faced are too great for any nation to confront alone. The King encouraged both countries to uphold their shared values and resist any movement that leads to increasing isolationism.
Quoting President Trump from his visit to London last autumn, Charles III emphasized that the bond between the two nations is invaluable and unbreakable. He prayed that this alliance, along with European and Commonwealth partnerships, remains strong.

Addressing the recent security incident at the White House Correspondents’ dinner, the King opened his speech by condemning political violence. He declared firmly that such attempts to foment fear and discord in the United States will never succeed.
Before the Congressional session, President Trump welcomed the King and Queen Camilla with military honors, including a 21-gun salute. Despite tensions regarding the UK’s stance on the conflict in Iran, Trump reaffirmed the “special relationship” between the two nations.
