Real Madrid has officially announced that both Éder Militão and Arda Güler will be sidelined for the remainder of the season after sustaining muscle injuries. The club confirmed that both players were diagnosed with similar issues, with the Brazilian central defender suffering a tear in the femoral biceps of his left thigh, while the Turkish midfielder sustained an injury to the same muscle in his right thigh.
According to reports from the Spanish media, these setbacks mean both players will be absent for the final six rounds of La Liga, a stretch that includes the upcoming El Clásico match against Barcelona on May 10.

While the injuries effectively end their involvement with the club for the 2025/26 campaign, neither player’s participation in the 2026 World Cup, scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19, appears to be in immediate jeopardy.
However, there is some apprehension regarding Militão’s physical durability, as this marks his third muscle injury of the current season. In contrast, this is Güler’s first major injury of the term, and medical staff anticipate that he will make a full recovery within three to four weeks.
