Sporting de Braga qualified for the semi-finals of the Europa League for the second time today after a thrilling 4-2 comeback victory over Spanish side Real Betis in the second leg of the quarter-finals held in Seville.
Following a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Braga, the Spanish hosts took a commanding two-goal lead with strikes from Antony in the 13th minute and Abde Ezzalzouli in the 26th. However, Sporting de Braga staged a remarkable turnaround, scoring four unanswered goals through Pau Víctor (38′), Vítor Carvalho (49′), Ricardo Horta (53′ via penalty), and Gorby (74′).

With this result, Sporting de Braga reaches the Europa League semi-finals for the second time, mirroring their achievement in the 2010/11 season—a campaign that ended with a narrow 1-0 loss to FC Porto in the final.
In the semi-finals, the “Arsenalistas” will face German side SC Freiburg, who eliminated Celta de Vigo. The matches are scheduled for April 30 and May 7.
