Forward Raphinha will miss FC Barcelona for five weeks after sustaining an injury while on international duty with Brazil, the Spanish football club announced today.
“Raphinha suffered a right hamstring biceps femoris injury, as confirmed by tests conducted by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), due to pain experienced during the Brazil-France match,” read a statement from the ‘blaugrana’.
The Catalan club added that Raphinha will return to Barcelona for treatment and that “the estimated recovery time is five weeks.”

The forward started in Brazil’s loss against France but was substituted at halftime. Brazilian coach Carlo Ancelotti revealed that the former Vitória de Guimarães and Sporting player “had a problem at the end of the first half.”
If the five-week absence is confirmed, Raphinha is expected to return at the start of May, missing three games against Atlético de Madrid—one in La Liga and two in the Champions League quarter-finals.
