At a Pentagon press conference, Hegseth explained that American forces will intensify operations, using the largest number of fighter jets and bombers recorded in this campaign so far. “Today will again be our most intense day of attacks inside Iran,” the official stated.
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, added that thousands of targets have already been hit since the start of the offensive, including ballistic missile installations, naval units, and drone launch sites. Despite this, Iranian authorities remain steadfast and promise to continue resisting.
The conflict, which began at the end of February, has expanded throughout the Middle East region, involving Israeli forces as well, and has already caused global economic impacts, such as the interruption of maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz and a sharp increase in energy prices.
