Al Nassr confirmed on Tuesday that Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo suffered a thigh injury during the 24th round of the Saudi football league against Al Fayha on Saturday.
“Cristiano Ronaldo has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the thigh following the last match against Al Fayha,” the Riyadh club said in a statement published on social media.

According to the Saudi league leaders, Cristiano Ronaldo, 40, “has started a rehabilitation programme and will be assessed daily.”
The length of the Portuguese forward’s absence was not disclosed.
Ronaldo was substituted in the 81st minute of the match against Al Fayha — managed by Pedro Emanuel — leaving the pitch with discomfort in his right leg.
The match ended in a 3-1 victory for the team coached by Jorge Jesus.
