Accompanied by his wife, the Chief Executive inspected various stalls, admiring the festive floral arrangements and specialty gifts on display. During the tour, young entrepreneurs enthusiastically introduced their creative product designs and concepts to the Chief Executive.
Sam commended the vendors for their creativity and proactive salesmanship. He remarked that the essence of business lies in bold innovation, emphasizing the importance of effective publicity and brand building. He encouraged Macao’s youth to uphold an enterprising spirit, be courageous in trying new things, and contribute to the future development of the region.
During the visit, Sam purchased Fai Chun (traditional red banners), using the occasion to wish Macao residents good health, vitality, and high spirits in the coming year. He also purchased a variety of festive goods and flowers.
The Chief Executive also exchanged warm New Year greetings with residents and tourists, posing for photos and sharing in the festive atmosphere.

Following the market visit, the delegation proceeded to the Taipa Firecracker Burning Zone to receive a briefing on the first day of operations. Sam extended greetings to the vendors, inquiring about the types of fireworks available and the safety measures in place.
He expressed hope that the strong opening would continue, bringing a steady stream of customers and thriving business in the days ahead.
Sam personally experienced the festive tradition by lighting firecrackers and rockets. He took the opportunity to wish the Motherland a leading role in development, the Macao SAR success in all endeavors, and all residents happiness, peace, and good fortune in the Year of the Horse.
