Toni Braxton has resolved a debt with the IRS, more than ten years after closing out her second bankruptcy case. According to official records, the singer was issued a federal tax lien on June 22, with the government citing a substantial outstanding balance, according to TMZ.

The debt broke down to $69,390 owed for 2022, $278,876 for 2023, and $250,358 for 2024, totaling roughly $598,000. A representative for Braxton confirmed to TMZ that the singer has since settled the bill.

The “Braxton Family Values” star first filed for bankruptcy in 1998 following a financial dispute with her record label, a period during which she faced significant public criticism, including being called out by Oprah Winfrey during an appearance on her talk show. Braxton’s financial troubles resurfaced in 2010, when she filed for bankruptcy a second time, citing millions owed to creditors. That second bankruptcy case was closed in 2015.
