Manchester City captains Erling Haaland, Bernardo Silva, Rodri, and Rúben Dias have reportedly decided to reimburse the cost of tickets for the 374 fans who attended the 3-1 defeat to Bodø/Glimt in Norway, in a Champions League group stage match, according to international press reports.
The players reportedly issued a statement saying it was “the least” they could do for the fans who traveled to the Nordic country.
“Our fans are everything to us. We know the sacrifice they make traveling the world to support us and we will never take that for granted. They are the best fans in the world. (…) Covering the cost of tickets for the fans who traveled to Bodø is the least we can do. We are ready to fight on Saturday against Wolves and again next Wednesday when we face Galatasaray in front of our incredible fans at the Etihad,” they reportedly wrote.
