The women’s final lasted sixty minutes, characterized by high-intensity rallies and shifts in momentum. Zhu recovered from a 5-11 loss in the opening game to take the second 13-11. Despite dropping the third game 3-11, she demonstrated significant resilience by winning the next two games 11-7 and 11-8.
The match concluded in a tense sixth game that pushed into a deuce, with Zhu eventually prevailing 13-11 to seal the championship.
In a post-match interview, Zhu noted that competing in two matches in a single day was a grueling test of her physical and mental stamina. Regarding her future in the sport, she stated that while she has not set a formal end date for her career, she intends to cherish every competitive opportunity. She expressed a desire to embrace “more discipline and fewer regrets” as she continues her professional journey.
WTT Champions is the third-tier event in the World Table Tennis Series, trailing only the Grand Smashes and the WTT Cup Finals. The tournament features a limited field of 2 players each for the men’s and women’s singles categories.
