Benfica drew 2-2 with Académico de Viseu today, after having twice held the lead, in the opening round of Portugal’s I Liga, played behind closed doors at the Estádio da Luz.
With the “reds” ahead since the 10th minute following a goal from Pavlidis, Académico de Viseu equalized in the 55th minute through Rúben Pereira, and leveled the score again in the 67th through André Clóvis, this after Prestianni had put the home side back in front.

Benfica and Académico de Viseu, who returned to the I Liga after 37 years, both sit on one point, level with six other teams, including Sporting, who also drew 2-2 on Saturday away at Estrela da Amadora.
