Organizers are issuing a call for volunteers, inviting residents and visitors to join the initiative and contribute to a citywide celebration of urban creativity. Applications are open until December 5.
The Biennale will feature interactive encounters across Macau’s neighborhoods, highlighting how art and design can reshape everyday life. Volunteers will play a central role in guiding visitors, supporting artists, and facilitating workshops and neighborhood activities. Each will work in pairs under the supervision of area coordinators.
“We want city lovers to be part of this journey — meeting people, exploring public spaces, and helping others discover how placemaking can reimagine how we live and connect,” the IN SITU team said in its announcement.
CURB, a non-profit institution established in Macau, is known for initiatives such as Open House Macau, the first of its kind in Asia, and is an Associate Partner of the World Urban Campaign. The Center serves as a platform for exchange between academia, civil society, professional practice, and government institutions, with projects spanning the Greater Bay Area, China, Asia, and Portuguese-speaking countries.
The Biennale aims to foster collaboration between local and international practitioners, positioning Macau as a hub for innovative urban engagement.
