Land plots by Macau Tower and Urban Zone C tipped as new Integrated Tourism and Cultural Zone

The coastal area to the east of Macau Tower and the New Urban Zone C have been identified as preferred locations for the development of the Macau International Zone for Integrated Tourism and Culture, a flagship initiative to boost the city’s economic diversification.

The proposal was unveiled by the Macau government on Thursday, coinciding with the launch of a public consultation period running from 13 November to 26 December.

According to the plan, this new project comprises three anchor facilities: the Macau National Museum of Culture, the Macau International Performing Arts Centre, and the International Museum of Contemporary Art.
