Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly clashed with another inmate at his federal facility in New Jersey this week, an incident that landed him in solitary confinement, according to multiple sources cited by TMZ.
The sources say the confrontation took place inside FCI Fort Dix after another inmate made disparaging remarks toward Combs, prompting him to respond physically. Witnesses described the two men shoving each other and exchanging punches before staff intervened and separated them. According to the sources, Combs held his own throughout the brief altercation.
Combs was reportedly placed in disciplinary segregation, commonly referred to as “the hole,” immediately following the incident. It remains unclear whether he was still there as of Friday morning, and it’s possible the episode could carry longer-term consequences for his sentence.

TMZ reached out to FCI Fort Dix for comment, and a representative said the facility is not able to disclose internal information about any inmate in its custody, noting such details aren’t made public. The Federal Bureau of Prisons similarly said it does not comment on disciplinary matters or other inmate-specific information, citing privacy, safety and security concerns. Representatives for Combs had not responded to a request for comment as of publication.
