At least 21 boats from the humanitarian flotilla intercepted by Israel

According to the "Global Sumud Flotilla Tracker" portal, which monitors the route of the humanitarian flotilla's vessels heading to Gaza in real time, at least 21 boats were intercepted by Israel.

Left Bloc coordinator Mariana Mortágua and actress Sofia Aparício were detained by Israel after the vessel they were traveling on was intercepted, Left Bloc leader Joana Mortágua told Lusa. Later, the same happened to activist Miguel Duarte, who had revealed the presence of numerous Israeli boats in the vicinity “using water cannons” and performing “dangerous maneuvers” near the ships.

In a message on its Telegram channel, the Sumud Global Flotilla stated that the Israeli naval force used “active aggression” against the Florida, which was “deliberately rammed at sea.”

It added that other vessels were attacked with water cannons.

“These illegal attacks against humanitarian vessels are a war crime. No crew member on board was injured,” the mission organization added.
