GEG arranged its team members to visit the homes of several single-living elderly and other Peng On Tong users on September 25 afternoon.
In response to Super Typhoon Ragasa, the Macau SAR Government swiftly implemented preparedness and civil protection measures, enabling the city to recover efficiently.
Community organisations and enterprises also played an active role in supporting post-typhoon relief. Upholding its philosophy of giving back to society, Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) mobilised its team members to provide care and practical assistance to service users of the Peng On Tung Tele-Assistance Service (“Peng On Tung”) under the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macao (UGAMM).
On September 25, GEG team members visited households of Peng On Tung users, many of whom are elderly residents living alone.
During the visits, they engaged warmly with families, tidied homes, and distributed care packages containing fresh fruits and daily essentials.

GEG arranged for professional technicians to accompany the visits and assist families in need with post-typhoon home safety inspections.
Professional technicians accompanied the visits to conduct on-site safety inspections and repairs of household electrical appliances and power systems, reinforcing home safety in the wake of the typhoon.
Prior to the storm, GEG and Peng On Tung coordinated to ensure preparedness among the elderly. GEG team members made caring phone calls to more than 100 service users, sharing government-issued safety information, evacuation guidelines, and reminders to monitor typhoon alerts.
One participating team member reflected: “Through these activities, I was able to offer my support and contribute to the community’s typhoon preparedness and relief efforts.
More importantly, I truly felt the spirit of mutual support among colleagues and a strong sense of unity with the social service teams as we worked together to safeguard our community.”

GEG team members chatted warmly with the elderly, spreading love and care in a harmonious atmosphere.
GEG’s initiative is part of its long-standing partnership with Peng On Tung. Since 2010, GEG has supported the programme for 15 consecutive years, making regular donations to the Peng On Tung Charity Foundation under UGAMM.
These efforts have helped financially disadvantaged users access essential tele-assistance services, reflecting the company’s philosophy of “Community at Heart, Empathy in Action.”
By combining immediate relief actions such as care visits with long-term support through donations, GEG continues to foster a more comprehensive community care network. The company remains committed to practical action and genuine care in supporting Macao’s recovery and resilience during times of need.
