All tropical cyclone signals caused by Super Typhoon Ragasa were cancelled at 06:00 on 25 of September, with the immediate prevention stage also terminated.
CEM announced that power has been gradually restored since 2:58 p.m. to customers in low-lying areas affected by outages during the storm.
Approximately 16,000 homes were without power. The company indicated that most customers have now had power restored, with field teams working to restore service to the remaining customers.
Secondary schools and higher education institutions to resume classes tomorrow (September 25). Arrangements for primary, kindergarten, and special education will depend on whether Typhoon Signal No. 3 remains in force at 6:30 a.m. tomorrow. Parents are advised to closely monitor announcements from the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau.
For students who are unable to attend school tomorrow due to road conditions or other post-typhoon factors, even if their school is operating normally, parents may submit a request for absence, which shall be handled at the school’s discretion.
Maritime services between Macau and Hong Kong will resume this morning, with the first trips to Macau’s Outer Harbor and Taipa will depart from Hong Kong’s Sheung Wan at 7:30 a.m., while the first trips to Hong Kong’s Sheung Wan will depart from Macau’s Outer Harbor and Taipa at 9:00 a.m.
In line with the typhoon preparedness plan for neighboring regions and to ensure the safety of maritime passenger transport, maritime services between Macau and Shenzhen’s Shekou and between Macau and Shenzhen’s Fu Yong will remain suspended tomorrow (25); the resumption of maritime services between Macau and Zhuhai’s Wanzai is yet to be decided.
