The Portuguese Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, will reach Macau next Tuesday night, September 9, for an official visit that includes, the following day, a meeting with the Chief Executive, Sam Hou Fai, a visit to the Portuguese School, and a reception with the community at the official residence of the Consul General of Portugal in Macau and Hong Kong, according to Teledifusão de Macau (TDM).
The Prime Minister’s trip begins on Monday, September 8, in China, continues through Macau, and ends in Japan. According to TDM, Beijing will be the most significant stop of the trip, with meetings scheduled with President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and the Chairman of the National People’s Congress, Zhao Leji.
The trip concludes in Japan, where Montenegro will hold political and economic meetings, including with Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, representatives of major Japanese companies, and a visit to Expo Osaka. He will return to Lisbon on Friday night, TDM reported.
