The General Administration of Customs of China announced its goods trade data for July, showing that exports, measured in US dollars, increased by 7.2% year-on-year, while imports increased by 4.1%.
ASEAN remained China’s largest trading partner, with imports and exports growing by 9.4% in the first seven months of this year, followed by the European Union, with a 3.9% increase. Trade with the United States, however, fell by 11.1% to RMB2.42 trillion.
The General Administration of Customs also noted that the nine mainland cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area had a cumulative import and export value of RMB50.67 trillion since February 2019. In the first seven months of this year, their imports and exports grew by 4.7% to RMB5.2 trillion.
