Xia aims to understand the latest dynamics of Macau’s social and economic development and to receive reports on the governance work of the new SAR government. Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of all Macau citizens for the central government’s long-standing concern and support for Macao, and warmly welcomed Director Xia and his delegation.
Sam emphasized that all sectors of Macau place great importance on this visit. The SAR government has made comprehensive preparations and hopes to optimize policy implementation through central guidance, deepening the practice of “one country, two systems.”
The SAR government underlined also that it will meticulously arrange the visit’s itinerary to ensure the research work is completed smoothly, further promoting Macau’s prosperity and stability.
