Geovany Quenda wants, above all, to play!
It may seem strange, but that’s what the 17-year-old football player wants, that is, to play. Something he has been doing regularly at Sporting, where he started to ‘smile’ thanks to Rúben Amorim, who is now at Manchester United.
The winger, as PLATAFORMA revealed first-hand, is one of Rúben Amorim’s main objectives for next season and he knows that with the Portuguese coach he will have regularity at Manchester United. And here the Red Devils have an advantage over their rivals Manchester City, Liverpool and Bayern Munich, as Quenda, despite his potential promise, doesn’t know what to expect from one of these giants.
Amorim, as Quenda already knows, assures him of many minutes. And Quenda also likes coach Amorim.
However, there may be an obstacle to a possible deal, specifically Sporting. Or rather, the club wants to secure a significant amount with the departure of the 17-year-old and, at this moment, of the four interested clubs, Manchester United will be the one with the least financial power.
There is a £60m transfer fee available for Quenda, but United’s rivals could offer significantly more.
Quenda, of course, will have an important say. And the young man just wants to play.
