Dazzling Displays Across Six Districts

Light up Macao 2024 will feature 31 light art installations and three mapping shows across six districts: Praia do Manduco, Nam Van, Zona Nova de Aterros do Porto Exterior (NAPE), the Northern District, Taipa, and Coloane.
Themes like “Pulse of the Future” and “Nostalgic Aura” will transform these areas with flagship displays, artistic installations, and interactive exhibits, offering a vibrant experience for families, friends, and visitors.

Mapping shows will feature international expertise and local creativity. At Macao Science Center, a Japanese team will showcase “Create the Future,” while local projects “Connect” and “100 FUN” will light up Largo dos Bombeiros in Taipa. These shows run nightly from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., offering mesmerizing five-minute performances.

Pop-ups and Interactive Activities

Every Saturday from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., pop-up events like musical performances, workshops, and art displays will enliven designated locations. Visitors can also engage in games such as “Blissful Cake Tower,” celebrating Macao SAR’s 25th anniversary, and collect souvenirs by sharing photos tagged with #lightupmacao2024 on social media.

A parallel event, “Luminescent Night at Travessa do Armazém Velho,” will offer workshops, online games, and unique displays to complement the festival. These activities aim to enrich the nighttime economy and foster community participation.
