29th MIF and 2024MFE to kick off on 16 October, 2024.
Themed “Economic Diversification and Development Opportunities” and “Brands Gathering with Business Opportunities,” the events will feature four exhibition halls with ten zones, attracting over 1,300 exhibitors. Participants include Fortune China 500 tech companies, popular China-chic tea brands, and world-renowned exhibition companies.
This year introduces four new features: extended duration to three working days (Wednesday to Saturday), 38,000 square meters of exhibition space, a record 195 exhibitors from the Greater Bay Area (GBA), and Shenzhen as MIF’s first-time Partner City.
Key highlights include the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Co-operation Zone in Hengqin hosting the largest pavilion at 900 square meters. The Macao segment of the 3rd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Fair for Trade in Services will also debut. A Portuguese-Speaking Countries Market Zone, “Diversified Industries Zone,” and “Macao International Coffee Festival Pavilion” will be featured. Over 80 trade and investment promotion sessions and 300+ pre-arranged business meetings are scheduled.
To celebrate the two anniversaries, 7,525 free coffee and tea drinks and gifts worth over MOP500,000 will be offered. Attendees can participate in a social media photo contest and the “Macao Consumption Rewards” event with e-vouchers and grand prizes.
The events will showcase cutting-edge technologies, including bionic robots, low-altitude economy tech products, a “Master Sky Shot” drone photography system, and a drone demonstration area.
Open to trade visitors on 16 October and to the public (free entry) from 17-19 October, four shuttle bus routes will be available. The events aim to connect traders with opportunities in China, Portuguese-speaking countries, and beyond while promoting Macao as a global metropolis. They focus on the “1+4” industries strategy for economic diversification and feature new arrangements to enhance B2B interactions and attract more business tourists.
Participating regions include mainland China, nine Portuguese-speaking countries, Canada, Malaysia, the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Macao. Special arrangements, such as parking discounts for Hong Kong buyers using the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, are in place to facilitate attendance.
These events serve as a platform for fostering collaboration, showcasing innovations, and creating new business opportunities in the Greater Bay Area and beyond.
