GEG Invites NPC and CPPCC Delegates to Share the Spirit of the “Two Sessions” for the 5th Consecutive Year

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), a patriotic Chinese enterprise deeply rooted in Macao, announces its ongoing commitment to fostering national education and promoting the development of Macao. In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region (“SAR”), GEG hosted the “Sharing Session of the NPC and CPPCC – GEG National Education Series” for the fifth consecutive year.

The event, held at the Galaxy Auditorium of the Galaxy International Convention Center, brought together approximately 600 GEG executives, representatives from the Chinese Cultural Exchange Association (CCEA) and the Macao University of Science and Technology (MUST).

Distinguished guests included Mr. Chui Sai Peng, Deputy to the National People’s Congress (“NPC”) and Chairman of CCEA; Mr. Ma Chi Ngai, Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (“CPPCC”) and President of the Board of Directors of the Macao Chamber of Commerce (“MCC”); and Mr. Francis Lui, Member of the National Committee of the CPPCC and Vice Chairman of GEG.

The event aimed to share the spirit and insights of the “Two Sessions” with the attendees, highlighting key policies and significant speeches delivered by major leaders. The speakers emphasized the principles of “One Country, Two Systems” and “Patriots Governing Macau” and discussed Macao’s economic diversification, integration into national development, and its role in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

During the interactive session, Mr. Lin Guangzhi of MUST and GEG executives engaged in a fruitful discussion, raising pertinent questions and exchanging insights, Mr. Chui Sai Peng emphasized the importance of pursuing high-quality development, adopting a practical and region-specific approach, and leveraging Macao’s unique position as a Chinese-Portuguese bridge to contribute to the development of the Greater Bay Area.

Mr. Ma Chi Ngai highlighted the emerging opportunities for Macao youths to participate in the integrated development of Hengqin and Macao, enriching their personal growth and contributing to the overall development of the country.

Expressing gratitude for the support received, Mr. Francis Lui extended his thanks to the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government (CLO) , Mr. Chui Sai Peng , Mr. Ma Chi Ngai as well as Mr. Lin Guangzhi for their valuable contributions. He reiterated GEG’s commitment to embracing the development opportunities offered by the country, cooperating with the ‘1+4’ adequate economic diversification development strategy of the Macau SAR Government, further facilitate Macau’s cross-sectoral integration of ‘tourism+’, and tell China stories well. GEG pledged to actively participate in the celebration events organized by the Macao SAR Government and collaborate with all sectors of the community to create a brighter future for Macao.

As a responsible corporate citizen, GEG has consistently encouraged its team members and the younger generation to deepen their understanding of the country’s development and achievements, fostering a sense of national identity and patriotism. GEG has been an advocate of youth national education programs, organizing the “GEG Macau Cup – Youth National Education Competition” for 15 consecutive years, attracting nearly 120,000 participants. Additionally, GEG has collaborated with the Macao Management Association for 13 years to organize the GEG Youth Achievement Program, which incorporates elements of the double celebrations this year to broaden horizons of local youths and deepen their national knowledge.

The sharing sessions brought together hundreds of GEG executives on-site, other executives from GEG’s offices and its subsidiary – K. Wah Construction Materials, including those from Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Eastern China, and Yunnan, also actively participated via the online live broadcast.

In addition, GEG will compile the event highlights into a video for replaying in the back-of-house areas at its various properties to convey the core messages of the “Two Sessions” to nearly 20,000 team members.

Furthermore, GEG plans to share the insights gained from the sharing sessions with a wider audience by publishing articles and distributing them through its internal communication channels, ensuring that the knowledge and spirit of the “Two Sessions” reach a broader range of stakeholders, including employees, business partners, and the local community.
