BSI rankings are determined annually by the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), promoting business practices with positive social and environmental impact. Its methodology analyses value, process and impact, including a corporation’s vision, management skills, and influence on society, the environment and its stakeholders.
“Sands China is very pleased that our business sustainability efforts continue to put us among the top performers in our industry and beyond,” said Sean McCreery, executive vice president of operations for Sands China Ltd. “It is also very encouraging to see an improvement in our performance, with Sands China added to one additional index this year [2023], totalling five, and we achieved Top 10 rankings in all of them.”
In addition to Hotel BSI, Sands China’s four other sustainability rankings in 2023 were all at Pace-setter level, which designates performance that is substantially above average. Sands China also ranked highest among all integrated resort/hotel operators in each of the four other categories.
