Valentín Nicolás, CEO of the “FutbolJobs” platform, created in 2013 to facilitate the hiring of players, spoke this Tuesday to the newspaper Marca about the country’s “crazy” proposal for its third division, presented in June and which quickly became viral on social media.
The offer, which was announced urgently, included a monthly salary of between three and four thousand dollars (2,740 and 3,653 euros at the current exchange rate) and also the value of a house in the country, with both costs being borne by the interested club.
“The truth is that the feedback we received was overwhelming. We could count thousands of daily interactions via email, social media and Whatsapp asking for information about this particular offer. At that moment, we realized that this market was already a reality and football people realized that the demand was not just for big stars”, commented Nicolás.
