The Chief Executive, Ho Iat Seng, promised “even greater” results in protecting national security and social stability, during a meeting in Beijing with the President of China, Xi Jinping. Ho was received by Xi in the Chinese capital to present an overview of the work carried out this year and the main points of government action for 2024.
For next year, the Chief Executive promised to “unite and lead” the different sectors of Macau society to implement the “spirit of Xi Jinping’s instructions”.
Ho guaranteed “even greater” results in firmly protecting the defense of state security and society’s stability and building a solid national security barrier, aiming to “safeguard the foundation” of China’s semi-autonomous region.
In the economic sphere, Ho Iat Seng once again emphasized “diversification” and attracting qualified staff and set the goal of achieving the General Project for the Construction of the Deep Cooperation Zone.
