After the president of Israel stated that the country was open to a new truce in exchange for the release of more hostages, the leader of Hamas traveled to Cairo for talks with the aim of “stopping the aggression” and “preparing an agreement for the release of prisoners,” a source close to the Palestinian group told AFP.
