The Supreme Court upheld the first instance decision from November, concluding that Trump was involved in a rebellion on January 6, 2021, during the attack on the United States Capitol and considered that the 14th Amendment of the Constitution, invoked to claim his ineligibility, actually applies to a president.
The decision of this instance was also suspended until January 4, in case of an appeal to the US Supreme Court before that date, reported the agency France-Presse (AFP).
