The show premiered in 2010 cost and more than 2 billion Hong Kong dollars to develop, including the construction of the largest water theatre in the world at the City of Dreams.
Due to the pandemic, the show was temporarily suspended in June 2020. At the time, Melco indicated that the show was being “reimagined”, with the show originally planned to return in early 2021.
However, this restart ended up not taking place, with the concessionaire not renewing the employment contracts with more than one hundred artists and workers involved in the production of the show.
