According to the Meteorological and Geophysical Services Directorate, the present Signal No.3 will be replaced by a Signal N.8 at 2 pm today.
Super Typhoon Saola” is currently around 270 km east of Macau and the wind is expected to intensify. Local Meteorology estimates that the need to raise signal number 9 next morning is “relatively high” and signal 10 – the maximum – “moderate.”
In Hong Kong, signal number 8 was raised at 2:45 this morning.
