After several failed attempts to sign Bernardo Silva last season, PSG is back in charge of the Portuguese international. According to the French press, this is an “old love affair” that has everything to work out.
This Tuesday, the French newspaper “L’Équipe” even calls the subject for the cover of the edition, highlighting that Bernardo Silva is the “Parisian temptation”. On the front page, the newspaper also underlines the player’s desire to leave Manchester City and the “reciprocal interest” of PSG. The newspaper “Le Parisien” also gives great prominence to the subject, pointing out that Bernardo is seen as the number 1 target to “replace Messi”.
Last summer, the Portuguese midfielder already expressed a desire to leave Manchester and, when Luís Campos (football adviser) joined PSG, the Portuguese’s dossier was given priority, as Kylian Mbappé, former teammate of the former Benfica, also asked for its acquisition. During that period, only Pep Guardiola, coach of Manchester City, managed to keep Bernardo Silva in England for another season, allegedly with the promise that at the end of the season the player would have the doors open.
