Russia bombed Ukraine again today, launching 36 missiles, of which 16 were destroyed by anti-aircraft defense, Ukrainian officials said.
The head of Ukraine’s presidential office said targets had been hit in the north, west and south of the country.
A 79-year-old woman was killed and at least seven other people were injured when the missiles hit the town of Pavlohrad, said the local governor, Serhiy Lysak.
The Russian military offensive in Ukrainian territory, launched on February 24 last year, plunged Europe into what is considered the most serious security crisis since the Second World War (1939-1945).
