Art and peace by the river

An urban resort on Bangkok’s revitalized waterfront offers tranquility and privileged views of Thailand’s longest river.

Perched on the bank of the Chao Phraya River, in the heart of the city’s creative district, the new Four Seasons Bangkok is a peaceful retreat from the hectic atmosphere of the Thai metropolis.

Designed by Jean-Michel Gathy, it will drink from its surroundings, with a cascading architecture, interconnected green courtyards that form a natural extension of the river, pools and running water added to create constant movement.

In addition, it has a strong inclination towards art: it has works on display and maintains a partnership with the Bangkok Museum of Contemporary Art, designed to nurture the thriving artistic community in which it is located.

The 299 rooms and suites are designed to provide a homely feel, blending contemporary aesthetics with traditional Thai elements.

Large windows offer views of the river, city, or gardens. There are suites with garden terraces, with prices starting at 370 euros per night, and the Presidential Suite has a bar, kitchen, three bedrooms and a terrace with a swimming pool.

Spa, infinity pools and guided city tours add to a collection of restaurants. At the Michelin-starred Chinese Yu Ting Yuan, chefs prepared specialties such as Peking duck and dim sum in the kitchen open to the living room.
