At issue is the news, advanced by some media outlets, about the hiring of a new director for the company that is undergoing a restructuring process, with no experience in aviation and who would be friends with the executive chairman (CEO), Christine Ourmières-Widener.
TAP on Tuesday rejected the interference of the executive chairman in the hiring of new director, despite “recent personal relationship”, and stressed that Isabel Nicolau has “two decades of proven track record” leading teams in engineering companies.

“The TAP Executive Committee said in a statement sent to employees at the beginning of October that “we hired a new director of processes, real estate and sustainability with more than two decades of proven experience leading technical and commercial teams in engineering companies.
