Robert Huth, former German centre-back, recalled this Friday what it was like to be coached by José Mourinho during his first spell at Chelsea, between 2004 and 2007.
“If you didn’t know Mourinho’s demanding standards, he would give you a chance. And then I’d give you one more chance. But it got to the point where if you made a mistake, you were out. That’s the environment he created and that’s why Chelsea became so successful.”
