Macau received 12,000 tourists a day on the Lunar Cake holiday

Yesterday, the last of four days associated with the Lunar Cake Chong Chao holiday, 16,095 arrived in Macau, a slight increase from the 15,550 tourists who visited Macau on Sunday. On Friday 17,800 tourists had entered, and on Saturday 16,535

In total, over the four days, 48,180 tourists sought Macau for these mini-vacations in September, a daily average of just over 12,000 visitors. These are numbers that fall far short of the most conservative forecasts of the Tourism Services, which pointed to a daily average of between 20 and 30 thousand visitors.
In the week to September 9, the daily average of visitors was 16,300. In August the daily average of visitors had been 10,600.

According to data from the Public Security Police Corps, yesterday, the total number of entries and exits at border posts was 313,368 people.
