Matthijs de Ligt leaves Juventus and signs for Bayern Munich until 2027

The Dutch defender has signed a contract valid until June 2027.

Dutch international defender Matthijs de Ligt will represent Bayern Munich for the next five seasons until June 2027 after three years at Italian side Juventus, the German soccer champions said on Tuesday.

“FC Bayern have signed defender Matthijs de Ligt (22) from record Italian champions Juventus of Turin. The Dutch international signs a contract until June 30, 2027,” the Bavarians wrote in a statement.

For the Dutch international, the consideration shown by the coach and management were decisive in his decision to move to the German champions.
