Manchester United coach said there is an option for the Portuguese’s contract to be extended until 2024
Erik Ten Hag, Manchester United coach, at a press conference in Melbourne, spoke again about the situation of Cristiano Ronaldo, who, he believes, will remain in the “red devils” despite all the rumors about his future.
“I am well informed, there is also an option for his contract to be extended until 2024”, he began by saying, being then asked if the Portuguese will be able to stay at the club after this season.
“Yes, but to be honest, even though I signed a three-year contract, in football it’s also about the short term. We have to win from the start, so I don’t look much further ahead. I have a strategy, a process, it takes time, but in the end we have to make sure we have a winning team from the start,” he said.
Erik ten Hag later assured that he was not worried about Ronaldo’s physical form.
