Shortly after announcing Mauricio Pochettino’s departure from the coaching reins, PSG introduced Christophe Galtier as their new coach.
“I am thrilled and proud. I assume the responsibility for us to make a great season. I am prepared. If I accepted this challenge it is because I feel I am ready. When I talked to Luís Campos, it took me a short time to make a decision. His presence was crucial,” said the 55-year-old coach, who last season was on the bench at Nice.
Galtier also spent four seasons at Lille, where he was French champion, and at Saint-Étienne. In the squad he will have at his disposal the likes of Danilo, Nuno Mendes and Vitinha, recently bought from FC Porto.
