From Kobe to Maradona, sport survived as well as it could from the pandemic
The main sporting events or sports figures of the year 2020.
Maradona’s death was the sad ending to a sporting year in 2020 that had already started in a tragic way, with Kobe’s “goodbye”, and has been limited, since March, to survive, as he could, the covid-19 pandemic.
More than the deeds, there were the postponements, from the Olympic Games to the European football, and even more the cancellations, with the events that survived to be disputed before empty spaces, without public, without party, without life.
The show had to go on, but nothing went as before and the most striking was the disappearance of two legends, the American basketball player Kobe Bryant, victim of a helicopter accident, and the Argentine footballer Diego Armando Maradona, who could not resist to a life of excess, of drugs.
