Portugal today passed the 5,000 death barrier related to the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the epidemiological bulletin released by the health authority (DGS).
Portugal saw another 78 deaths related to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours and 2,597 new cases of infection with the new coronavirus, the lowest number in the last week.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Portugal has registered 5,041 deaths and 325,071 cases of infection with the new coronavirus, and today 74,187 cases are active, 269 fewer than on Sunday.
