The result of Venezuela’s parliamentary elections, held last Sunday (6) and which guaranteed the power of the National Assembly to President NicolásMaduro, was not recognized by the European Union, the United States, Brazil and another group of 15 countries in America.
On Monday (7), the governments of Brazil and 15 other countries, originally organized in the so-called Lima Group, reported that the election had no guarantee “of freedom, security and transparency” and it happened “without integrity of votes, participation of all political forces or international observation ”.
