Portuguese-speaking countries exported less to Macau in the last 10 months

Portuguese-speaking countries exported 20.3% less to Macau in the first ten months of the year, compared to the same period in 2019, the Directorate of Statistics and Census Services (DSEC) said today.

Portuguese-speaking countries exported goods worth 564 million patacas (59 million euros) to the former territory administered by Portugal, DSEC said in a statement.

On the other hand, Portuguese-speaking countries, until October, imported products worth just 10 million patacas (1.05 million euros), an increase of 725.5%, the Macau authorities said.

In total, Macau exported products valued at 8.65 billion patacas (909 million euros), down 18.1% compared to the same period in 2019.
