Coronavac tests were suspended in Brazil because of the death of a patient. But the autopsy report reveals that the volunteer committed suicide
A report by the Instituto Médico Legal (IML) obtained by Jornal da Tarde, from TV Cultura, points out that the cause of death of the CoronaVac vaccine volunteer – an immunizer produced by Sinovac in partnership with the Butantan Institute – was suicide.
“What doctors cannot say in the name of medical ethics but we, journalists, must say in the name of the public interest and the fight against false information is the following: the adverse event, which, as explained at the press conference [of the Butantan Institute ], it is a way for medical literature to refer to events unrelated to what is being tested, it is not necessarily related to the vaccine, it concerns a volunteer who took his own life, ”said the anchor of the newspaper Aldo Quiroga.
