To contain Covid, French government decreases public in Roland Garros

Last tennis Grand Slam of the year will start next Sunday (27)

The organization of the Roland Garros tournament, which will start on Sunday (27), received the news on Thursday (24) that it will have to further decrease its audience intention in the competition: from 5,000 to 1,000 spectators.

The order came from the French government. The reduction makes the Grand Slam fit in the new restrictions package enacted by France, as a way to try to stop the expansion of the pandemic of the new coronavirus.
